Here’s a little bio of the actor Takeshi Kaneshiro who plays Jin, a police captain in the film. He is of mixed Japanese and Taiwanese decent, and has two older brothers. Kaneshiro is also multi-lingual, being able to speak five different languages; Japanese, Taiwanese, Cantonese, Mandarin and English. He began his singing career in 1992, debuting with the album Heartbreak Night. After only a year, he became so popular that he easily transcended into acting in 1993 with Executioners. Now he only focuses on acting.
